WeDesign collaborated on the development of Albert Island, a 10 hectare site in the Royal Docks. The project set out to support the long term economic regeneration of the area through a considered mix of high quality commercial space, improved connectivity, enhanced public realm and an active industrial and commercial boatyard.
Our team was involved from the earliest stages, developing the brand identity for the project and supporting the preparation of the initial bid. WeDesign created presentation material and produced a series of proposals that helped clearly communicate the wider vision for the site. Following a year long process, the scheme was announced as the successful application in September 2017.
Alongside the strategic work, we produced a range of supporting material including printed bid boxes and extended marketing films that introduced Albert Island as a new industrial hub for the Royal Docks. The architectural model was designed and produced by Haworth Tompkins, an award winning architectural studio recognised for thoughtful and purposeful design.
