Hackney Sixteen Plus

Hackney Sixteen Plus is a council initiative to incentivise young people living in Hackney to apply for local jobs. The programme aims to build confidence around entering the workplace by offering guidance on the job market, interview preparation and early career support.

Our work focused on developing a clear and approachable visual identity that could resonate with a younger audience while remaining practical for use across multiple settings. This included a distinctive logo and a bright, flexible colour palette, designed to stand out both in print and in the street.

A key part of the concept was a recognisable window sticker displayed by participating businesses across the borough, helping young people easily identify supportive employers. Alongside the core branding, WeDesign explored ideas for editorial layouts, magazine content and supporting collateral, creating a cohesive system that could grow with the initiative over time.port an open and engaging consultation.
